Nazare, Portugal

Nazare is located North of Lisbon and it’s an hour and a half away from the city if you are going to travel by car. My husband and I joined a tour group visiting churches and historical places in Lisbon and visiting Nazare is one of them.

Since I have not heard much of this place before, I did not expect too much of what I am able to see or experience in this place but this small town turns out to be my most favorite place in our Portugal trip.

This is the Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Nazaré which was built in the 14th Century.

I am glad and I was able to visit this historical town even just a short period of time.
